Who haven’t seen this! Yes, it is Blue Morning Glory flower! While most of the people in villages are trying to get rid of it, people living in the cities train them over the pergolas and fences. Whatever may be, I like this flower very much!
ಕಳೆ ಅಲ್ಲ ಕುಳಾವು
ಈ ನೇರಳೆ ಕುಳಾವಿನ ಹೂವಿನ ಹೆಸರು, ಬೆಳಗಿನ ನೀಲಿ ಚೆಲುವೆ! ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆ ಎಂದು ಕಿತ್ತೆಸೆಯುವ ಈ ಚೆಲುವಿನ ಬಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ವಿಪರ್ಯಾಸವಂದರೆ, ದೇಶವಿದೇಶದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಟ್ಟು ಬೆಳೆಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ವಿಧವಿಧವಾದ ಆಧಾರ ಕಂಭಗಳಾಸರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೊಕ್ಕಿ ಬೆಳೆದು ಅರಳುವ ಹೂಗಳು ನೋಡಲೆಷ್ಟು ಚೆನ್ನ!
This is a very common weed flower that is also called as ocean blue morning glory, koali awa and blue dawn flower. Kulaavu is its Kannada name. Ipomoea indica is its botanical name.
