Today morning Venu reminded that we had been living in Pune for an year! OMG! How fast the days run! Almost a week before we had started packing from our side. 26th Nov 2012, we had to leave for Deccan Queen Pune from Karnataka’s Pride, Garden City Bengaluru in the evening after sending all our belongings with packers and movers.
Our owner aunty had instructed a day before that we would be having our food with them. We thought of not disturbing them and bought idli parcel from a hotel nearby. We were just finishing idlis and aunty invited us to have breakfast! We couldn’t say no to her. We climbed the stairs. Ohh!! Aunty was ready with 2 plates of hot idlis! With great difficulty we finished second set of idlis and aunty was complaining with love that we had nothing! How could we tell her that it was our second idli plate?
Two of our packers and movers had packed and carried with them almost everything we owned. We had lunch at our owner’s house. Aunty had prepared delicious curd rice and chitranna. She promised to prepare chapatis so that we can carry it for the evening. It was about 3 o’ clock. We had bath and got ready to leave… Time was magically running…
I guess it was about 5.30pm when Aunty packed chapatis, coconut chatney and sugar for us. It was already getting dark. We had to catch our bus at 6.30 in the evening. Our hearts were becoming heavier looking at the empty house… Aunty and Uncle sent us off with filled eyes. Repeatedly they said that they would miss the bonding with us.
Venu’s 8 years of attachment with Bengaluru and his friends was making him emotional. We had to move on leaving everything behind. It was 7.30pm when our bus to Pune headed towards our destination.

Our bus had stopped at Satara for breakfast. When I saw ‘idlis’ I felt like vomiting. Except in childhood when traveling by bus was only to my granny’s place, I didn’t have motion sickness. Pressure of relocation had made me sick. It was in the morning at about 11.00 o’ clock we got down the bus at Katraj, our bus staff insisted us to get down at Wakad thinking that we were going to Hinjewadi or nearby. It was about 12.45pm when we reached Magarpatta, The Pride of Pune by auto.
Our guest house was ready. After complete rest on that day, we were in a mood to enjoy the beauty of Magarpatta!

We were accommodated in the 8th floor of Cosmos. And we enjoyed this bird’s eye view of Magarpatta city from our balcony for a week. There was a temple, rows of houses that appeared like toy houses in between green trees, on the other side houses that were being constructed, view of tall buildings of software companies from far… It was all amazing.
