This post is about renaming of blog title ‘The Arts & Me’ as ‘Desi Abhivyakti’
I love the arts. I see arts everywhere. It is fun, it is inspiring, it is adventurous, it is thrilling, it is wonderful and it is everything to me. In March 2013, I finally took dare to overcome all the fears and to live my dreams through blogging. I landed with two blogs, one for the fine arts and other one for the applied arts i.e., fashion designing. While naming the fine arts blog, I defined my relationship with the arts as ‘The Arts & Me’ and left it to the readers to their interpretation. My thought was to redefine it when the right words come to me. The blog dedicated to the applied arts got named as ‘Tantu‘.
Time flew. My blogs and I saw many ups and downs. You were the reason for our ups and your encouragement motivated us to deal with downs. The urge to live the arts and to blog, grew stronger.
Then, Vallabhi came to my life. Her company has been helping me to rediscover the creativity within. Her presence forces me to work smarter and manage time intelligently. The pressure of the creative flow keeps reminding me the needs to express it in any way. And it is the time to make domain move.

Final pick out of the multiple choice of names was ‘Desi Abhivyakti’ for ‘The Arts & Me’. Abhivyakti (meaning expression in Sanskrit) keeps one’s identity alive. Desi’s Abhivyakti is her romance with the arts. Yes, I am DeSi both in terms of personality and name! Venu pointed out the name when I was looking for a pen name and I love it.
Since I have blogged under both Blogger and WordPress, the decision to choose WordPress was very easy. Number of failures gave some useful insights about custom domains and hosting. And then! One fine day, ‘The Arts & Me’ made appearance as ‘desiabhivyakti.live’ in front of you 🙂
