‘Flying Kites’ in the Shade of ‘Wisdom Tree’

A digital art showcasing ‘Kids Flying their Dreams as Kites’ in the Shade of ‘Swami Vivekananda’s tree of Wisdom’ drawn on the occasion of Vivekananda Jayanti and Makara Sankranti.

Swami Vivekananda has inspired the people from across the world. His words of wisdom keep lingering and motivating us even today. His words are like shade of a tree for us. Today is Vivekananda Jayanti and hence I thought of drawing Swami Vivekananda.

And festival of Kites/Makara Sankranti is just two more days ahead. Why not include the kite flying picture, I thought. Kites resemble the Dreams the kids (even elders) have. Makara Sankranti is an enjoyable event for kids being the kite flying festival.  So, I drew some kids flying Kites.

For a change, I used a photograph of a memento with Swami Vivekananda’s cut out portrait. This wonderful memento was gifted to Venu last year for performing in a Yakshagana event organised at Ramakrishnashrama, Bengaluru on the eve of Vivekananda Jayanti. I used it as the wisdom tree’s trunk. Drew some twigs and leaves to complete the picture. In the shade of the wisdom tree, I drew kids flying beautiful kites.
