Let’s Blossom’ Digital Painting

Presenting a floral digital painting of hibiscus and jasmine flowers on the occasion of ‘International Mother Language Day’, 21st February 2018.

The creator of this universe loves diversity. Every living being has got a distinct quality and a purpose. Every flower has a unique appearance and fragrance.

Let's Blossom - Floral Digital Painting with hibiscus and Jasmine flowers

Similarly, every culture has been evolved with its own essence. And each culture speaks through its own language.

What if all the flowers look alike? What if they all smell the same? What if every creature looks alike? What if there is only one colour left in this universe? This is one of the most terrifying nightmare one can have…. It would just be the end of enthusiasm, creativity, thrill, and life itself.

We are sure, the creator is not going to alter the diversity in the nature. But, we humans are threatening the balance including the cultural balance. If we don’t wake up, we will be losing cultures that we can authentically represent in the most graceful way. Let’s unite together. Let’s spread the message to the ignorants…

Every culture and every language is special. But, if we can flaunt a culture and it’s language to the best, that would be our own culture and our mother language. We are the ambassadors of our own culture and language/s because none other can be. We can do it loving other languages too. Let’s blossom naturally along with our culture and mother language!

Last line in my mother language Kannada – ‘ಬಾರಿಸು ಕನ್ನಡ ಡಿಂಡಿಮವಾ…’

P.S. : This floral painting is drawn completely from imagination. No reference is taken. Yes, could draw more realistic one having a reference in front. But, it’s a great feeling of accomplishment to draw from imagination.

  1. Beautiful. I love the smell of jasmine. It is intoxicating. You beautifully wrote: Every culture and every language is special. A poet wrote in Tamil: Maatraan thotathu malligaiyum manakkum. (Smell of jasmine, flower even in your enemy’s garden, will also be very sweet.)

    • Thank you, SG 🙂 I agree, Jasmine soothes no matter where it blooms. Thanks for sharing these sweet Tamil wordings… It is an added flavour to this post.

  2. So beautiful! It looks so delicate too , Sindhu! ❤❤??

  3. How well you paint! The shades and textures have come out well.

Your words make my day!
